A Pool Party on Memorial Day Weekend is a time when you have cookouts, hang out by the pool, and have a group photo shoot with gorgeous models.
Amanda (shown at the top) and Isabel put this one together through the Group Shoots Planning & Info Facebook group. I got to work with four models I have not worked with before Becca, Holly, Hales Bug, and Sam. Two from the Hot Rod Hunnies shoot, Jolene and Kristle were there as well. Also featured were a large, pink Flamingo and a Flying Unicorn floatie.
What a great way to end the summer
The Hod Rod Hunnies group shoot had been rescheduled to due rain a couple of times (see Rainy Day Shoot), but the weather was good and Isabel brought us back together at PFP Studios through the Group Shoots Planning & Info Facebook group
This group is great for meeting new models like Jolene, shown at the top, Stacy, Brittany, and Kristle. I also got to work with a favorite, Taylor
I am part of a Facebook group that plans Groups Shoots and we had a Hot Rod shoot set up for the weekend. Unfortunately, the forecast was for rain, so the group scrapped getting cars and just decided to get together to shoot models in the rain. As it turned out, no rain. We did have one truck available, Rusty, which is a model favorite.
The model at the top is Isabel
There are more photos from this shoot on my Facebook page in the Rainy Day Group Shoot album
I really like photographing this event put on by West Hartford Yoga
This year it was 3000 yogis on the street bringing a lot of positive energy
I have more photos on my Facebook page in the OM Street 2018 album.
After our last pole dance photo session, I contacted Maendy about doing another shoot. She let me know that she had just opened up her own studio, Pole in the Wall, and did I want to do a shoot there with her and her partner Maryna. We had a great shoot together in their new studio.
My frequent collaborator Amaenda @aerialamaenda has been teaching pole dance at Momentum Vertical Dance and we set up a photo session with her and the owner of the studio, Blaine @pole_countess, shown above.
FYI: This was suppose to post in April and I just found it.
I have more pole dance photos coming soon.
Natalie and her sister own and operate the Vasu Tribe Studio and Spa in Hartford. I first encountered Natalie at the Om Street 2017 event in West Hartford and connected through Instagram. We were able to get together and roam through Hartford near her studio and found great locations that she had wanted to do a shoot at including the CT Fastrack station and an underpass on Capitol Avenue with some colorful graffiti. I love working with other creative people. You get so much more out of the effort. You can follow her Instagram @yogi_on_fire as well as @vasutribeyoga
I came across Shannon on Instagram through this post and reached out to her to see if she would be up for a photo shoot. We had great weather and a fantastic shoot. She is vrey creative and a lot of fun to work with. You can follow her at @shannonb317
Took a week long trip out to Yosemite. I had not been out there since I was 7 in 1969 and before I knew who Ansel Adams was or had picked up a camera. So it was interesting to see the park with adult eyes and after seeing photos by Adams of the park over the years through the different books I had collected. His photos are great, but seeing the sites first hand is just amazing. It was fun making my own photos of the area.
Enders State Forest is close to me so I have used it many times for model shoots. This time, no models. I just wanted to explore and play with long exposures.
